Select a variety of essential oils based on your preferences and their benefits. Some popular choices include:
Lavender: Calming and relaxing
Lemon: Uplifting and refreshing
Peppermint: Energizing and invigorating
Eucalyptus: Cleansing and refreshing
Rosemary: Stimulating and focusing
ADAPTIV: Calming and confident
Balance: Grounding and tranquil
Serenity: Soothing and sleepy
You’ll need:
Essential oils
Diffusers (reed diffusers, ultrasonic diffusers, or even DIY options like cotton balls or baking soda jars)
Water container for fast and easy diffuser filling. I like to use a vintage pitcher
Carrier oils (like jojoba or coconut oil) if you’re making topical blends
Labels and permanent markers for organization
Find a dedicated space in your home, such as a shelf or a small table. Organize your essential oils and supplies neatly. You can use a tray or a small box to keep everything together. I like to use a large wood or marble slab (like used to make charcuterie boards) to display my diffuser station.
Experiment with different combinations of essential oils to create unique scents. Here are a few blend ideas:
Relaxing Blend: Lavender + Chamomile + Bergamot
Energizing Blend: Peppermint + Lemon + Rosemary
Refreshing Blend: Eucalyptus + Lemon + Tea Tree
Diffusers: Add a few drops of your chosen essential oil or blend to your diffuser.
Sprays: Mix essential oils with distilled water and a bit of witch hazel in a spray bottle. Shake well before each use.
Cotton Balls: Place a few drops of essential oil on a cotton ball and tuck it into corners, drawers, or closets.
Baking Soda Jars: Mix baking soda with essential oils in a small jar. Poke holes in the lid to allow the scent to diffuse.
Keep your station dusted and organized. Refill supplies as needed and rotate your essential oils to keep the scents fresh and fun.
Research reputable essential oil brands to ensure you are using a high quality that focuses on sustainability and ethical sourcing.
Dilute essential oils with a carrier oil before applying to skin topically.
Keep essential oils out of reach of children and pets.
Test for allergies by applying a small amount of diluted oil to your skin before using it more broadly or regularly.
By setting up an essential oil station, you can enjoy a naturally fragrant home while also benefiting from the therapeutic properties of the oils. Happy diffusing! 🌿
Is there a particular scent or blend you’d like to try? I'd love to hear from you.

I live on a small island on the West Coast of Canada (Salt Spring Island) with my family on a small but mighty homestead.
I pump my tires on empowering women to make themselves a priority and live an intentionally clean & natural lifestyle. I DIY the shit out of everything so that I can control the quality.
When I was employed, I quickly learned that I hated working on other people's terms and I wanted to be raising my babies at home. Essential oils have allowed me to build a business and dream life with my babes in my arms.
