The 5 Best Essential Oils for Radiant Skin

Acne Prone Skin

Helichrysum oil is praised for its miraculous healing properties and is excellent for treating acne. A couple drops deliver antimicrobial, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory benefits to help promote healthy skin cell growth and regeneration. Dilute a few drops of Helichrysum with your carrier oil to make a powerful acne-fighting serum for nighttime use.

Dry Skin

If you're feeling a little on the dull and dry side, reach for Rose oil. Rose oil has been having its moment in the beauty industry, popping up in toners, moisturizers, and makeup. Not only does it smell amazing, but it is packed full of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Rose oil is very emollient (moisturizing) and brings life back into tired, dry skin. Mix a few drops into your favourite moisturizer to reap the benefits!

Combination Skin

Ylang Ylang oil is an awesome natural skin balancer for dry, oily, and combination skin. It has a lovely fresh, floral scent like Rose and balances sebum (oil) production. It also enhances circulation and encourages cell growth while soothing irritation and inflammation. Dilute a few drops with your carrier oil and apply to your face, neck, and chest.

Soothe Irritated Skin

Lavender is another great multitasking oil that aromatherapists love. Whenever I think of lavender, I immediately think of calming. This lovely oil promotes skin cell regeneration while relieving any itchiness or irritation, leaving skin feeling soft and smooth. It reduces those blotchy, red patches and redness while balancing your skin's moisture barrier. Add a few drops into your moisturizer or BB cream to leave skin feeling refreshed and soothed.

Damaged Skin

Dry, oil, or combination skin will love Frankincense oil! Frankincense's popularity due to its ability to restore skin that has been damaged. It has been used to minimize scars while helping with the appearance of dark spots. Frankincense also minimizes fine lines and wrinkles while reducing inflammation and evening your skin tone. Add a few drops to your moisturizer or carrier oil to heal that damaged skin.
