It is an understatement to say the the skin care industry is booming, but how many ingredients are listed on the back of your products? How many of those are natural? Essential oils provide a natural, effective alternative.
A quick note: While essential oils can be wonderful for your skin, please be sure to do your research before applying anything. To avoid any serious reactions, be sure to dilute your oils with a high quality carrier oil (like Fractionated Coconut Oil) and always patch test.
Helichrysum oil is praised for its miraculous healing properties and is excellent for treating acne. A couple drops deliver antimicrobial, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory benefits to help promote healthy skin cell growth and regeneration. Dilute a few drops of Helichrysum with your carrier oil to make a powerful acne-fighting serum for nighttime use.
If you're feeling a little on the dull and dry side, reach for Rose oil. Rose oil has been having its moment in the beauty industry, popping up in toners, moisturizers, and makeup. Lavender is another great multitasking oil that aromatherapists love. Whenever I think of lavender, I immediately think of calming.
