Considering their history at developing games aside from OSRS gold, I would prefer them to remain a onetrick pony.In fact, even runescape's own track record isn't too good.
I'm not familiar with IFRS but I would suppose that sold bonds work sorta like gift cards, which I vaguely remember the best way to account for lol.
You're not including other income, merchandise at 2.6m and marketing revenue at 225k. Add them into the RS3 & OSRS amounts and it makes sense. It's quite interesting that the huge boom in OSRS population did little to stop the decrease of MTX revenue; I am inclined to believe that 2019 was way, far worse for buy runescape mobile gold's MTX compared to stats (and the record ) state .
OSRS is of course doing gangbusters. No surprise there, the game has been doing amazingly well and everyone understands it.
I would recommend getting cautious, though; I remember a few months ago that there were rumors that the bigwigs were starting to look to OSRS as the long run as a result of financials, and this kind of data would really support that talk.
Positive attention isn't always good.I think with the amount of new devs they have hired this season, and with MikeD saying that they still want to double the size of their dev team, I'd say that the direction has really realized that OSRS is their strongest product currently.
